Faith, Hope & Love

The world is changing, but how do we choose to participate?

Lærce Ryhl-Svendsen, from Odense, works with collage and mixed media, and presents her triptych – a three-part collage in art tower 9 entitled “ Faith, Hope & Love” – in Art Tower 9 – draws inspiration from our times, characterised as they are by unrest and an information overload. The intention is to encourage the viewer to focus on what we ourselves can help to create, rather than on what we fear. Inside the tower, there is also a postbox containing letters from the public addressed to the future – letters intended to symbolise our positive hopes and wishes. For Lærce Ryhl-Svendsen, the question is therefore not how the world is changing, but how we ourselves choose to participate.

Experiences nearby

Lindelse is close to several of the natural gems of the South Funen Archipelago Geopark. For example, you can combine your visit with a walk in Hennetved Haver, experience Lindelse Nor – a drowned ice age landscape – or explore the wild nature and organic farming of Skovsgaard Gods. Several of the other art towers are also nearby, such as Art Towers 8 and 10, forming a fine art route through the Langeland landscape.

Practical information

The art towers are free to visit and accessible all year round. The tower is accessible from public roads, but is not necessarily wheelchair accessible. There is no direct public transport to Art Tower 9, but it can be reached by bike or car from Lindelse or Rudkøbing.

Langeland's Art Towers - a unique way of experiencing art

Denmark's longest art exhibition can be experienced by visiting 12 former electrical transformer towers on Langeland. The art towers give visitors an artistic experience in the heart of the Langeland countryside.
From North to South and East to West, you can explore the cultural landscape and enjoy art in rural peace and quiet.

The towers are open all year round. A tour around them all will always offer a new experience, influenced by both the season and weather.
