Skjoldungemarchen – A Hiking Event in Skjoldungernes Land National Park

The national park is characterised by a varied and gently rolling landscape of hills and valleys, forests and lakes, streams and wetlands, as well as Roskilde Fjord with its coastal meadows, small islands and rich birdlife. The routes of the Skjoldungemarchen are carefully planned to highlight the area’s natural beauty and distinctive landscapes.

The pace of the march is deliberately relaxed, allowing participants to enjoy the sensory impressions of nature and the tranquillity of the surroundings. There is also plenty of opportunity to meet fellow walkers and share the experience along the way.

Whether you are an experienced hiker or simply looking for a memorable outdoor experience, there is a route to suit you. Choose your challenge: 20, 35, 50 or 75 km.

All routes start and finish at Lejre Hallen in the town of Lejre. The routes are clearly marked, and participants receive GPS route data for the Komoot app before the event. Along the way, refreshment stations provide food and drinks, and at the finish line all participants receive a medal and refreshments.
