TO ØL City – Northern Europe's largest craft brewery in Svinninge

On Ringstedvej in Svinninge, a former food factory has been given an entirely new life. TO ØL City has taken over the old Beauvais factory and transformed 26,000 square metres of industrial history into Northern Europe's largest craft brewery. The place is a destination in its own right for beer enthusiasts, but also for anyone who wants to experience something out of the ordinary on a trip through West Zealand.

From home brewing to world class

TO ØL started as a hobby project between two friends and has since grown into one of the most respected craft breweries in the world. The brewers are experimental by nature, and the beer selection is constantly rotating – many brews are released only once, so there is always something new to taste. Several times a month new beers hit the taps, and that level of freshness is hard to match elsewhere. Production covers everything from classic IPAs and stouts to wild-fermented beers, cocktails, cider and kombucha.

Taproom and beer garden

In the brewery's taproom you can taste your way through the current selection with views of the production halls. When the weather allows, the beer garden opens up, where you can sit outside with a freshly brewed beer and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It is the kind of place where conversation flows easily – perhaps because the setting is so unexpected. A raw industrial hall in the West Zealand countryside is not where you would expect to find a world-class brewery, and that contrast is part of the charm.

Guided tours and tastings

TO ØL City offers monthly guided tours that take you behind the scenes of the large production facility spread across nine halls. Tours last around half an hour and are held in both Danish and English. Afterwards there is a tasting session featuring a selection of the newest and most popular brews. You also receive a discount voucher for the shop, where you can buy freshly brewed beer to take home – straight from the source.

A beverage collective like no other

TO ØL City is more than a brewery. The place functions as a complete beverage collective with a brewery, distillery, and production of wild-fermented beer, cocktails, cider and kombucha.
