Sludstrup Shelter Site (Fodsporet)

Sleep in the West Zealand hinterland

Sludstrup lies a few kilometres southeast of Slagelse, where open farmland meets small woodland edges and hedgerows. Though Sludstrup is rural, experiences are not far away. The town of Slagelse is home to the Viking fortress Trelleborg, one of Denmark's most important ancient monuments, and Korsør's old fortress and harbourfront lie a short drive to the west. To the south, the roads lead to Skælskør with its medieval town centre and fjord landscape. The shelter site is booked through the Slagelse Municipality website. The site is accessible year-round and easiest to reach by car via Skalsbjergvej. Remember to bring drinking water, provisions, and equipment — it is a primitive site, and that is exactly the point.
