Strids Mølle – Water Mill, Farm Shop and Venue

Hidden in the forest between Kalundborg and Holbæk lies Strids Mølle – an old water mill with roots stretching all the way back to the time of King Valdemar Atterdag. Surrounded by woodland, fields and lakes, the mill blends historic atmosphere with modern craftsmanship, making Strids Mølle a memorable place to visit in West Zealand.

At Strids Mølle everything centres on local quality ingredients and good craftsmanship – with grain at its heart. The grain is grown in the mill’s own fields just a few hundred metres away and ground on the estate’s own stone mill, powered by the water wheel. From here it becomes aromatic flour and some of the area’s finest sourdough bread.

In the self-service farm shop you can buy the mill’s own produce: stone-ground flour, honey, game and beer sausages, ready meals and freshly baked sourdough bread – alongside quality preserves, rapeseed oil, Danish mustard and other carefully selected specialities. Fresh bread is baked every Saturday and Sunday, and the self-service farm shop is open Wednesday to Sunday.

Strids Mølle is also an ideal meeting place for companies. The light-filled barn and the newly renovated granary loft above the old mill offer space for everything from intimate meetings to conferences and talks, while the beautiful outdoor areas invite walk-and-talks and teambuilding in the heart of nature.
