A day of art, nature and music
Tower 1 Lohalsvej 5a, Tranekær at 10.00 am – work by Rasmus Nielsen
RE:PATCH 0.4 by Rasmus Nielsen draws on the forms of nature, inspired by glow-worms, and is crafted from phosphorescent materials that glow in the dark. The floating sculpture is complemented by geometric mirror shapes, which create contrast and tie the work together.
Tower 2 11.00 am – work by Malte Fisker
Hesselbjergvej 18 a, Tranekær
“Basic Forms” by Malte Fisker is constructed from simple geometric shapes in layers upon layers of paint, where both positive and negative forms emerge.
The work combines mathematics, architecture and computer graphics with a subdued colour palette inspired by the Renaissance.
Tower 6 12.00 pm – work by Lotte Kejser
Pederstrupvej 16 a, Rudkøbing
“Forbundne” by Lotte Kejser takes Langeland as an island as its starting point and explores our interdependence on one another, nature and the wider world.
The suspended plaster boats symbolise connections across time and place, whilst the influence of nature gradually becomes part of the work.
Tower 9 at 13.00 am – work by Lærche Østergaard
Haugbøllevej 12 a, Rudkøbing
“Faith, Hope & Love” by Lærce Ryhl-Svendsen is a three-part collage that focuses on our own role in an age characterised by turmoil and information.
The work invites reflection on hope and action, with letters from the public to the future becoming an active part of the narrative.
Multitalented artist Romie Remero will perform at all the tower openings. Romie was born in Chile but came to Europe at the age of 15 and moved to Langeland 35 years ago. And she brought her guitar and music with her from the southern continent. Romie will entertain at the opening of the four art towers with her very personal mix of Latin American and Spanish songs, blending Spanish and English in bossa nova, jazz, and folk music.
