Located on the outskirts of Holstebro, the newer dog forest in Østre Plantage offers the perfect setting for an active day out with your four-legged companion. The dog forest is a seamlessly integrated part of the expansive and popular Østre Plantage woodland, making it a great starting point for longer hikes in the local area.

Inside the designated dog forest, you are welcome to let your dog off the leash, allowing them to stretch their legs, explore the paths, and play with other dogs under controlled conditions.

While your dog burns off energy beneath the tree canopy, you can enjoy a stroll along the forest trails or take a rest. The area is equipped with picnic tables and benches, making it an inviting spot to sit back and enjoy a brought-along cup of coffee or a lunch pack in tranquil surroundings.

Please note: Remember to bring your own water bottle for your dog, as there is no fresh drinking water supply in the forest.

You will find the entrance to the dog forest at Ringvejen towards Mejrup, the first resting place on your right after Parkvej, Holstebro.
