Ølgryde Plantage Dogs' Forest
Let your dog roam off-leash in the beautiful surroundings of Ølgryde Plantage Hundeskov (Dog Forest) south of Holstebro – a wonderful, fenced sanctuary with great facilities.
Located south of Holstebro, you will find the lovely fenced dog forest in the Øshelter of Ølgryde Plantage. Here, you can safely unclip the leash, allowing your four-legged companion to explore the rich forest floor, stretch their legs, and socialize with other dogs under controlled conditions.
The dog forest is an ideal destination for a peaceful walk under the forest canopy. The area is equipped with picnic tables and benches, making it a great spot for a coffee break or a packed lunch. As a wonderful added service, fresh water is available for the dogs on-site, ensuring your pet can stay hydrated after plenty of playtime.
Directions: From the Ringvejen road in Holstebro, drive along Skjernvej for approx. 6 km. Right after the municipality border sign, turn right onto the forest road Mikkelborgvej leading into Ølgryde Skov.
Parkering and Access: Parking is available on the right side of the forest road. From the parking spot, it is a short 300-meter walk into the woods to reach the fenced dog forest area.
